The Challenge: A Commoditised Market
CTF, a leading B2B control room console manufacturer, faced a classic business challenge: how to stand out in a commoditised market. A traditional agency approach would have focused on product features and technical specifications — but we knew the real story was deeper. CTF's unique selling proposition — delivering and installing high-quality technical furniture in just 4 weeks versus the industry standard of 16, was a powerful but untold story. The market was treating them like a commodity. We were determined to change that. This called for comprehensive brand development that maintained their disruptive DNA while creating deeper resonance with audiences seeking more than just physical transformation. We shifted focus from purely aesthetic results to a movement that embraced wellness, community, and personal growth, values that transcend age demographics and cultural differences and nuances across the region.
The Human Element
We applied The Strategist's Method, challenging prevailing assumptions with a single, powerful question: "Why?" Through extensive desk research into control room history and working practices, we uncovered the true customer context. We ran brand workshops with the leadership team to unearth the brand's soul: a fusion of precision engineering and human warmth. The insight was clear, control rooms are not just technical environments. They are places where human beings make decisions that shape the world. That realisation became the foundation of everything.
The core brand positioning: "the hearts and minds intertwined. "The expansion into Saudi Arabia presented both opportunity and challenge – a massive untapped market with different cultural nuances and expectations.
Success required maintaining brand authenticity while adapting to regional sensitivities and emerging wellness trends.
Control for Success
Rather than leading with product specs, we repositioned CTF around the people who inhabit their control rooms, the operators, technicians, and decision-makers whose work shapes our world.
We developed a complete brand architecture: purpose, promise, manifesto, visual identity, and verbal identity. The new brand language, "Control for Success," became a platform that speaks to both the technical precision and the human stakes of the environments CTF creates.
This transformation was executed consistently across every touchpoint, from the brand book and design system to the website, data sheets, and social media.
We conducted deep-dive research into regional wellness perceptions, competitor positioning, and audience motivations beyond physical transformation.
This foundation informed every aspect of the brand evolution, ensuring changes were strategic rather than superficial.
